I am a physician assistant and licensed massage therapist who specializes in John Barnes Myofascial release for pain relief, stress management and wellness.
I graduated from Baylor College of Medicine PA program in 1985 and worked as a physician assistant for more than 25 years. I always knew that something was missing. I wanted to treat the whole patient with an integrated approach to healing. Over 7 years ago I began to awaken to natural, holistic and healing modalities that are effective in treating stress-related symptoms of anxiety, depression, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and many other disorders. I have been trained as a Reiki Master/Teacher, EFT (emotional freedom therapy), and Zensight. In addition I am a trained massage therapist in myofascial release therapy. My training provides a systemic, natural approach to overall wellness care giving the client the space and tools their body needs for self-healing.

The brain is the most complex dynamical structure known to the universe. It is able to process massive amounts of information, develop responses and apply these responses for increased efficiency and mastery. The brain is ever changing and constantly detecting changes. It is infinitely cycling and self regulating.
When our brain is not able to smoothly detect change, we become rigid in our thoughts and actions and we become disorganized. The electrical signal stays in a fixed pattern. It will repeat the same pattern and the same story. We worry about things over and over. We are sometimes not able to move through our thoughts or daily tasks. Sleep can be affected. Moods can be affected ,. Relationships can be threatened . Performance can suffer.
Neurofeedback trains the brain by using CNS own unique ability to monitor change within the body and respond to that change. By interrupting that pattern with a millisecond of silence or static (interruption in the music) or decreased volume and change, the brain will adjust and find a new place of internal comfort and determine the best route to take. The brain adjusts to the interruption in music by " coming back to the present." This is the way the central nervous system normally reacts to change in its environment
